The U.S. Federal Reserve's recent rate cut, the second this year, has not solidified the case for further cuts, with Fed Chair Jerome Powell stating that another reduction this year is not guaranteed. Market participants now predict a 65% chance of a December rate cut, down from over 90% before Powell's remarks. This uncertainty is causing traders to reassess their bets on interest rate cuts, with the stronger dollar acting as a significant factor. The ADP U.S. employment data, due out on Wednesday, and the ISM PMIs this week will be closely watched for cues on potential rate cuts. Despite gold's 53% gain this year, it has fallen more than 8% from its record high on October 20. Meanwhile, other precious metals like silver, platinum, and palladium have also seen price declines, with silver falling 1.3% to $47.47 per ounce, platinum easing 1.1% to $1,548.15, and palladium dropping 2.8% to $1,404.68.
